Clay UI

An early idea I suggested for UI was a similar style of "QuipLash 3". A clay mation style, mimicked within 3D. Noise can alternated over time, to add dynamic movement.


I started making some mockups of said style, to review within our group. Starting with a more realistic focus.


Voronoi noise cuts up the clay, fingerprints and noisy displacement adds a layer of detail.


Through the manipulation of these nodes, the clay can be guided to a more stylised route. Below is an example of a more stylised example, while retaining realistic detail.

Here's an example, without the normal and roughness map of the fingers:


This material never went any further than this stage as we preferred the current hand painted title.
